synopsis Le Dr Lawrence, un psychiatre réputé, a disparu de son bureau. La dernière personne à l'avoir vu est Michael, un patient troublé qui a une obsession morbide avec les éléphants. Le directeur de l'hôpital décide de discuter avec Michael du Dr Lawrence, ignorant ainsi les avertissements de l'infirmière en chef. Michael parle d'éléphants et d'opéra - en laissant soupçonner une intrigue de meurtre.
